Basic Golf Swing Tips

Whether they are a beginner or experienced, most golfers try to improve their golf swing. The perfect golf swing is widely debated among golf professionals and entire books have been written on the subject. For most golfers, however, sticking to improving the basics of a golf swing is all they need to get longer drives and more accurate hits.
Focus on the Grip
How a golfer grips his or her club is the first step to having a good golf swing. Try gripping the club with your hands in a position similar to how your hands look when hanging down naturally. This will improve your ability to connect the club naturally with the movements in your arm and body.

Take a Proper Stance
Using correct posture and taking the proper stance will help you to have a more powerful swing without the risk of falling over. Have your legs shoulder length apart with the knees slightly bent. Be sure to stand up straight and be prepared to use your full body in the swing.
Complete the Swing
Never stop the golf club when it hits the ball. In order to stop at that point requires slowing the club down well before it reaches the ball. Instead, keep the acceleration up by swinging well past the point where the club comes in contact with the ball. To work on this, practice swinging without a ball to get used to creating a full swing with the club. Then, let it loose with the ball. Don't worry about accuracy so much at first. As you practice, your accuracy will improve with a much faster swing.
Try a Different Club
Sometimes a golfer's swing is inhibited by the type of club he or she uses. If a club is too heavy, it can be difficult to get the speed and acceleration you need. Likewise, a longer club takes more time to come in contact with the ball, giving the golfer more time to accelerate the swing.
Buy Some Training Equipment
Many golf stores sell training aids and equipment to help golfers learn about their swing and how they can improve it. Some equipment provides a mirror for a golfer to be able to see exactly what they are doing during a swing. Other equipment provides a guide of where the club should be going during the speed. Finally, some training aids help with alignment.

Perfect Golf Swing Technique

The golfer's swing directly affects the winning impact of his game. One wrong swing could give the opponent a one in a million chance of beating him; "Badly". When you are a golf rookie, you may find the game as an insane mathematical equation.
How to perform the perfect golf swing?
Attaining the perfect golf swing does not require finding the value of x and y, but rather, calculating the proper muscular physiology your body needs to maintain balance and accuracy without losing the force of your swing. Before thinking of making the proper posture, or mocking the way Tiger Woods or Jack Michaels stands before they waggle, you've got to know your target; Where's the hole? Look for the flag, once you've found your reason for swinging; position yourself in line with the flag, with the off side of your body facing it. If you are right handed, position the left part of your body towards the flag, this helps you get the force you need from your stronger, more accurate right arm.

Tip: you can put a small rock or wig in between the ball and the flag; this will act as a beacon to make your aim accurate without looking up and down to check the alignment between the ball and the flag.
The Grip
Now that you know where and how to stand, we are going to make sure that you are holding the club properly. The incorrect handling of the club would result to a wavy motion during the swing, decreasing power and accuracy; this is a common issue with new golfers, they usually "hit the dirt" instead of the ball.
To perform the proper grip, all you need to make sure that the shaft is lying on top of your fore finger. Then you should grab it with your thumb right above it facing the head of the club. Make sure that the thumb is in a relaxed state, not stretched, since this will make it hard for the right hand to land a firm grip later.
Tip: When your hand is in this position, you will know that your grip is tight enough if you can see two of your knuckles (fore and middle fingers) from above.
Now, place the heel of your right palm over your left thumb and do a firm, but not tight, grab. This is called the "Filer Grip". Make sure that the pressure of the grip is in both your middle fingers and not the palm. Set the forefinger of your left hand forward, providing enough space for the little finger of your right hand to rest, thus creating a lock or connection between both hands.
Tip: Your hands should form a "V" that leans away from your off hand, this indicates that the mass of both your shoulders are in balance. (If you are right handed, the "V" should lean to the right.)This would make your body curve into a stance where your shoulders, hips, knees and feet become parallel to the ball. This is the right stance into making the perfect swing.
Footwork
Now that you've known the basic hand grips, it's time for some footwork. Well honestly, there is no telling what the proper footwork of golf should be; a golfer has to develop his skills to adapt to his own body build before anything else. A certain angle for foot arrangement was developed to assure that none of your body parts would interfere with the torque of a successful swing. It is said that your right foot should be at a 90 degree angle from the flag and the other foot, slightly obtuse, this allows both feet to have a good twist during the Mid Iron Shot.
Nature Factors
The golfer's real ability to adapt is measured by how he drives the ball through the changing forces of nature; the wind factor for example is the most common issue. A professional golfer can produce a club head speed of a hundred miles per hour, if it hits the ball, the ball gets almost the same velocity as the club that hit it, staggers through the blowing wind then fails to get to its destination. Adaptability to nature basically knows the current situation of the vicinity and uses it to your advantage.
The Test Drive
Now, let us put together everything that we have learned, from the hand grip of your choice, to the angle of your feet. You may be seeing yourself right now in the middle of a green golf course leaning down waggling on a golf ball. Now is the moment of truth, after being certain of the nature factors, you twist your body, not your hands, utilizing flexibility, reaching far back, rotating your torso on your right leg. You begin the swing, the club picks up velocity and speed of up to 100 mph, tuning your torso, while pressing your right foot towards the ground, hits the ball, the ball twisting, picking up speed and you follow it with your eyes as it flies towards the sunset until it reaches the flag. Hole in one!
